About Me
Dillon McGuire is a freelance illustrator and artist working primarily in ink and lives in Springfield, Massachusetts. He attended Springfield Central High School and focused on drawing and painting before attending The Hartford Art School’s BFA in illustration program and graduating in 2012. While attending The BFA program, he started working as a commercial illustrator in the comics industry. He graduated from The Hartford MFA in Illustration program at the Hartford Art School in 2017. During his years in school he received many merit-based scholarships and awards, most notably The Murray Tinkelman award given to one graduating student per year. Dillon McGuire’s work has been shown at many galleries and shows such as The Springfield Quadrangle Museum, The Bing Arts Center, The Hartford Art School, Springfield Comic Con and New York Comic Con. He has guest spoken and demonstrated at East Springfield Public Library, The Hartford Art School, and Westfield State University. He has also taught at the Amherst Boys and Girls Club, and in Hartford Art School’s Illustration Department. Dillon McGuire is currently illustrating and designing Kaiju Monsters for a book that will be published in late 2020. He is preparing prints and other merchandise for convention season, and multiple art shows for the coming year.
